Comparison

EasyDooo vs Notion

Notion is a workspace app: pages, databases and a block editor that can be shaped into almost any system a person wants to build. EasyDooo is the opposite bet, nine modules already shaped, each with one job, sharing one account. This page is about what you get by not building the system yourself, and it is equally specific about when a blank, shapeable workspace is the better tool.

Decide what is worth doing

Workspace app

A workspace app is a block editor first: a page can be a note, a document, a database or a dashboard, and the shape is yours to decide. That freedom is the category's whole appeal.

EasyDooo

IdeasFree

Ideas holds the raw idea, and AI scores it with RICE and can expand it into something you could act on. Free covers 10 ideas and 10 AI runs a month; Pro and Max remove the idea cap and raise the AI allowance.

Capture a task

Workspace app

In a workspace app a task is a row in a database you designed, with the properties and views you gave it. The system is as good as the one you built.

EasyDooo

TasksFree

The quick-add bar takes the whole task as one line: !high for priority, #tag, @person, /project, and plain phrases like “next monday 3pm” for the due date. Tasks are unlimited on every plan, including Free.

Run a project

Workspace app

Projects, roadmaps and trackers are templates or databases, related to each other the way you wired them. A good template gets you most of the way.

EasyDooo

ProjectsFree

A project holds milestones, notes and the tasks that belong to it, and those tasks are the same tasks that show up in Planner and Calendar. Free covers 3 projects; Pro and Max remove the cap.

Plan a week

Workspace app

A workspace app shows dates in a calendar view of a database, one database at a time, and a dedicated calendar app for the rest.

EasyDooo

Planner + CalendarFree

Planner puts everything with a date on it into one day, week, month or year view — tasks, reminders, events, budget items and ideas — with a Plan My Day list you reorder by hand and that stays reordered. Both modules are free.

Keep work separate from personal

Workspace app

The usual way to keep two lives apart in a workspace app is two workspaces, or two top-level pages and the discipline to keep them apart.

EasyDooo

WorkspacesFree

One account holds a Personal and a Work workspace with genuinely separate data. The header toggle switches between them and your choice survives a reload. Calendar is the deliberate exception: it merges both into one grid so you can still see the whole week. Included on Free.

The left column describes what a workspace app for notes, documents and databases is built for, not what Notion does — we have tested our own app and nobody else’s. Our plan limits and prices are on the pricing page. The Android app keeps working offline and queues your saves; the web app needs a connection.

The honest part

When Notion is the better choice

5 situations where the other tool is the right buy. If you are in one of them, nothing else on this page changes that, and we would rather you found out here than a fortnight in.

You want to design the system yourself

EasyDooo's modules are fixed: a task has these fields, a trip has those tabs, a budget Entry is one shape. A workspace app hands you blocks and databases and lets you build exactly the tracker you have in your head, with the properties, views and relations you choose. If the building is the part you enjoy, or your work has a shape no fixed module matches, buy the blank page.

Your work is documents

EasyDooo has rich-text descriptions on tasks and projects and an Idea Vault for rough thoughts; it has no long-form document editor, no wiki, no page tree and no publishing to the web. If the deep output of your week is written pages that other people read, a workspace app is built for that and EasyDooo is not.

Your work runs through a dozen other services

EasyDooo connects to Google Calendar and imports people from Google Contacts, and that is the list. There is no app directory, no webhook builder, no public API and no integration marketplace. If your work runs through a dozen services that have to talk to each other, a specialist with a real integration catalogue will serve you better than nine modules that only talk to each other.

The work is shared with other people

EasyDooo is built for one person’s whole life, not a team’s shared board. A task takes a single assignee, chosen from your own People list rather than from teammates with their own logins, and there are no shared accounts, permission roles, approval flows or portfolio roll-ups. Team tooling is a different product and we are not pretending to be one.

You are bringing years of history with you

There is a CSV and vCard importer for People. There is nothing equivalent for tasks, projects or budgets, and no migration tool aimed at any other product. Everything else starts empty, which is fine for a fresh start and genuinely annoying if you have five years of archive to move.

Still here? Then the trade you are making is depth in one tool for the joins between nine. The free plan covers Tasks, Calendar, Planner and Focus with no card and no clock, which is enough to find out whether the joins are worth it before you pay for Budget, People or Travel. Downgrading never hides your data: paid modules become read-only.
