Comparison

EasyDooo vs YNAB

YNAB is a dedicated budgeting app built around a budgeting method. EasyDooo has a Budget module on the Pro plan, and it is a ledger with targets rather than a method — its advantage is that the money sits in the same account as the trip that spent it and the task that estimated it. If what you want is to be held to a system, read the concession section first; it is the honest part of this page.

What we checked, and when

Track what it costs

Personal budgeting app

A dedicated budgeting app is built around a method and goes deep on it: envelopes or categories, targets, reconciliation against the account, and reporting that tells you whether the method is working.

EasyDooo

BudgetPro

Budget holds income and expense Entries against categories and targets. It is not a bank-feed product and does not connect to your bank — an Entry is one you added, or one that arrived from a trip expense or from a task’s estimated cost.

Plan a trip

Personal budgeting app

A trip is a spending event a budgeting app sees only as transactions arriving.

EasyDooo

TravelMax

Travel holds the trip, its itinerary, a packing list and its expenses, and AI can draft an itinerary you then edit. Every expense you log also appears in Budget as an Entry under a Travel category, in the trip’s currency — one record seen from two places, and deleting the expense removes the Entry with it.

Plan a week

Personal budgeting app

Budgeting runs on the month. What else happens in that month is somebody else’s screen.

EasyDooo

Planner + CalendarFree

Planner puts everything with a date on it into one day, week, month or year view — tasks, reminders, events, budget items and ideas — with a Plan My Day list you reorder by hand and that stays reordered. Both modules are free.

Keep work separate from personal

Personal budgeting app

Household money and business money are usually two budgets, and often two subscriptions.

EasyDooo

WorkspacesFree

One account holds a Personal and a Work workspace with genuinely separate data. The header toggle switches between them and your choice survives a reload. Calendar is the deliberate exception: it merges both into one grid so you can still see the whole week. Included on Free.

The left column describes what a dedicated budgeting app is built for, not what YNAB does — we have tested our own app and nobody else’s. Our plan limits and prices are on the pricing page. The Android app keeps working offline and queues your saves; the web app needs a connection.

The honest part

When YNAB is the better choice

4 situations where the other tool is the right buy. If you are in one of them, nothing else on this page changes that, and we would rather you found out here than a fortnight in.

You want software that holds you to a method

Budget in EasyDooo records what you planned and what you actually spent. It does not run zero-based budgeting, envelope rules, age-of-money style metrics or reconciliation against a statement, and it will not argue with you when a category runs dry. If the discipline is the product you are buying, buy the tool built around the discipline.

You want transactions to arrive by themselves

There are no bank connections in EasyDooo and no statement importer. Every Entry is one you added, or one that arrived from a trip expense or a task’s estimated cost. For a few dozen entries a month that is fine; for every card swipe in a household it is a chore, and pretending otherwise would waste your time.

You share the budget with someone

EasyDooo has one login and one person’s data. There are no shared accounts, no partner access and no way to hand an accountant a read-only view. A budget two people maintain together needs software that expects two people.

You are bringing years of history with you

There is a CSV and vCard importer for People. There is nothing equivalent for tasks, projects or budgets, and no migration tool aimed at any other product. Everything else starts empty, which is fine for a fresh start and genuinely annoying if you have five years of archive to move.

Still here? Then the trade you are making is depth in one tool for the joins between nine. The free plan covers Tasks, Calendar, Planner and Focus with no card and no clock, which is enough to find out whether the joins are worth it before you pay for Budget, People or Travel. Downgrading never hides your data: paid modules become read-only.
