Twenty-three Android releases in ten days: what changed from 2.1.25 to 2.1.47
Between 13 and 22 October the Android app went from 2.1.25 to 2.1.47. Each release has its own notes on the download page; this is the shape of the run for anyone deciding whether to update. Every release includes everything before it, so one update brings all of this.
You stay signed in (2.1.25)
The app renews your session in the background. Before, it signed you out a week after you signed in, every week.
Money lent and borrowed (2.1.25, 2.1.26)
Keep track of money you lend someone or borrow from them, with a reminder in Tasks when it is due, Settle when it is squared, and a reminder message you can share. People shows what is open beside each name and the totals above the list.
Bills from whatever you are sent (2.1.26 to 2.1.28)
- Share a bill message or PDF into EasyDooo and save it as a Bill, in the message's own currency, with its reminder in Tasks.
- Share a card statement, an EMI or premium reminder or a subscription renewal and it becomes a Bill of that kind: a card is reminded five days and one day ahead, an EMI gets a fund-the-account reminder.
- Share a picture of a bill, a statement or a message. It is read on your phone, and only the text it finds is sent to suggest a task, a bill or an expense for you to check.
- The Budget widget shows your next bill when it is due within a week or late.
Links open the app (2.1.29)
A link to an EasyDooo page, such as your tasks or your budget on easydooo.com, opens in the app when it is installed. The website's own pages, pricing, the blog and the download page, still open in the browser.
Reminders that ring (2.1.36 onward)
- Reminders you add in the Planner or on the web go off on the phone at their time.
- Calendar events go off when they start, all-day ones at 9 AM, and a project's deadline is announced on its morning.
- Repeating reminders set on the web ring every time in the coming week (2.1.44), and come back after the app is force-stopped (2.1.46).
- A reminder can be marked done from its notification or the Planner row, offline too (2.1.47).
Focus, birthdays and the rest
- A Focus session keeps running when Android closes the app, and is saved once, at the time it ended (2.1.38).
- A person can have a birthday, shown on their card and the calendar (2.1.39).
- A project's Budget tab lists the entries linked to it against the estimated cost (2.1.38).
- Editing on the phone sends only what you changed, so a change made on the web meanwhile is kept (2.1.41 to 2.1.43).
- Changes saved offline wait out a short server outage instead of being lost (2.1.41).
